No refunds or transfers on unused classes or workshops once registered. Limit of 2 make-up classes per person if you miss a class during the session. Make-up classes cannot be carried over to future sessions and must be taken during the session for which you are registered.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
Foundation 1 - Intro to Bellydance
Designed for the absolute Beginner and recommended that students repeat the course several times until they have a solid grasp of foundational skills before advancing to more challenging levels. You'll be learning the essential building blocks of Egyptian dance from the roots. Learn the proper posture, hip and upper body isolations, basic shimmies, belly work, footwork patterns and much more. This is a progressive course and builds week to week.

Foundation 2 - Bellydance Plus
Designed for the Beginner student who has built a strong foundation at our Foundation 1 and is ready for more challenge and development of the fundamentals.
Pre-requisite to attend this course is at least one course of Foundation1.

Raqs Sharqi & Baladi Training & Drills
Level 2 to 5.
We get down to business in this class with loads of technique training and practice drills both in place and across the floor. Think of this class as your refinement class whether you're at the continuing beginner level, intermediate or advance. All moves and steps can be modified based on where you're at. Emphasis on arms and hand work, posture, hip and belly work, shimmies, and a focus on transitions and fluidity of movement. Students will see an abundance of personal growth in this class throughout the session. It's a great class to pair with another option if you're looking to do two classes per week.
Tuesdays 7:00-8:30pm. with Jo
Bridge to Intermediate - Continuing Beginners
This class steps things up with more sophisticated footwork and movements. More training in how to hear the music and developing your ear. More training in feeling and expression. We work with a variety of music so students are exposed to stylistic variations. Emphasis is on fluidity of movement, making clean and clear transitions and much more. And if you're looking to take two classes per week, pair this class with the Tuesday night Training & Drills class for a very well rounded training plan for the session.
Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm. with Jo
Intermediate/Advanced Technique & Choreo
Ready to be challenged and take your dance to the next level? This class is suited for the proven intermediate/advanced dance student who is looking for an artful approach to their dance growth. More sophisticated technique and combinations are utilized and we work to build fluidity and expression in our movements.

PLUS!! TWO WINTER WORKSHOP INTENSIVES with Jo
Raqs Sharqi Fundamentals - Sunday, March 2nd Noon - 3:00pm.
This workshop is an all out drill-fest focusing on the essential repertoire of Orientale dance movement. Lots of on the spot feedback and adjustment will be offered. This workshop is great for every level. Yalla let’s get in there and get to work!
Technique Tune-Up Workshop
- Sunday, March 30th Noon - 3:00pm.
This workshop focuses on all the elements you need to move exquisitely in the dance form. I’ll share tips to help you create beautiful, seamless transitions, from hips to hands and everything in between. You’ll learn how to put it all together through elegant sequences of Orientale dance movement.
Price: Single workshop: $65 / Take both workshops: $110 HST not included.
