RAQS SHARQI FUNDAMENTALS
Step into the soul of Egyptian-style Raqs Sharqi (aka Bellydance) with our 9-week Raqs Sharqi Fundamentals course, designed to build strength, grace, and confidence from the ground up. Whether you're new to Bellydance or looking to solidify your technique, this course offers a strong foundation in one of the world's most expressive and beautiful dance forms. Each week we'll explore the essential elements of Raqs Sharqi through: Technique drills and muscle isolation * Posture, alignment and movement quality * Foundational movements and travelling steps * Musicality and connection to the essential Arabic rhythms *Self-expression & improvisation all in a supportive, uplifting environment with space to grow and shine!

CONTINUING BEGINNER INTENSIVE

If you're an advanced Beginner level or higher, ready to deepen your dance and grow with guidance, this course is for you!  This 9-week Technique Intensive & Mentorship program is guided personally by Joharah and is designed for continuing students of varying levels who are committed to developing their skills, refining technique and receiving personalized feedback and mentorship along the way. Each week, we'll dive into focused technique drills, movement refinement, musicality and even choreography - designed to sharpen your foundation while building strength, grace, and confidence in your dancing. From posture and isolations to more complex layering of movements, travelling steps, transitions, expression and more, this program will push you to dance with greater precision and artistry.

TRAVELLING STEPS & ARMS/HANDS FLUIDITY

Two of the most requested topics come together in this rich, full bodied Raqs Sharqi course! Train directly under Joharah in this exciting course which bridges levels - offering a supportive next step for dancers coming from our Fundamentals course, while giving more experienced dancers space to refine, layer and deepen their movement quality.
Each class combines fundamental technique breakdowns, practice drills, plus short movement phrases that weave together steps, arms, and musical phrasing - helping you find the connection between power and softness, structure and feeling. So if you're ready to expand your movement vocabulary, polish how you move and dance with more flow and grace no matter your level - this course is for you! Over nine weeks, we'll dive deep into travelling steps, arms and hands, exploring how to move through space with grace, intention and musicality. We'll connect grounded, confident footwork with expressive upper body movement to create seamless transitions and fluidity. This course is not suitable for brand new Beginners. At least one Fundamentals course is a pre-requisite.

ELEGANT ORIENTALE CHOREOGRAPHY 
Immerse yourself in the beauty and refinement of Egyptian-style Raqs Sharqi through this elegant Oriental choreography course. Working closely with Joharah over nine weeks, we'll explore a soulful and expressive routine that highlights the timeless grace, fluidity, femininity and subtle power and control of the Orientale dance style. Each class will focus on musical interpretation, movement quality, transitions, and emotional expression - developing not just your technique, but your artistry. You'll learn how to embody the music with poise and confidence, bringing out the nuances that make this style so captivating. This course is suitable for dancers with a solid foundation who wish to deepen their connection to the music and explore the emotional and expressive layers of performance. Come dance, feel, and connect to the elegance of Orientale Dance.

Our much-requested Saidi style Raqs Assaya workshop is happening this January! Join us as we dive into authentic Saidi technique, foundational stick handling, and powerful, earthy combinations that will leave you feeling strong, grounded, and inspired. Whether you're brand new or already experienced, all levels are welcome. Let's celebrate Upper Egyptian style together and have some serious fun with the Assaya. Assaya loaners will be available or bring your own.

ART OF THE VEIL

Technique & Combinations

Bellydance with the veil is pure magic in motion. In this workshop we'll work on mastering veil technique, entrances, wraps, and expressive combinations and discards that will have you floating, swirling, gliding and breathing a new dimension of life into your dance. Whether you're brand new to veil work or looking to refine your grace, control and fluidity, this workshop will elevate your movement and artistry. All levels are welcome.
